How do I authenticate?

With an API key generated in the Agents & API dashboard. The same key authorizes both REST calls and MCP connections. See Using API Keys in Skyp for a walkthrough.

Should I use the REST API or the MCP server?

Use REST when you are writing code or building an automation. Use MCP when you want an AI agent like Claude or Cursor to run outreach in natural language. Both hit the same underlying platform, so you can start with one and add the other later.
