What is the Skyp MCP server?

Skyp has a native Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at https://api.skyp.ai/mcp. It exposes the full Skyp campaign lifecycle — create campaigns, add contacts, generate strategy, send, pause, resume, and query analytics — as tools that Claude can call natively. No custom code or middleware required.

What is the Skyp Claude Skill?

The Skyp Claude Skill is a markdown file you add to your Claude Code project instructions or Claude project context. It tells Claude exactly how to use Skyp's MCP tools — the campaign lifecycle, recommended patterns, error handling, and authentication. Drop it in and Claude knows how to use Skyp.

Does this work with Claude Code or only claude.ai?

Both. Skyp's MCP server works with Claude Code (add it as a custom connector in your project), claude.ai Projects (via Claude Settings → MCP Servers), and any other MCP-compatible host including Cursor.

Do I need to write any code to use the MCP server?

No. The MCP connection is configured in Claude Settings — you enter the server URL (https://api.skyp.ai/mcp) and authorize Skyp via OAuth. After that, Claude discovers all available tools automatically. The Skyp Claude Skill file gives Claude the context to use those tools correctly.

What can Claude do with Skyp via MCP?

Claude can: create and configure campaigns, add contacts individually or in bulk, generate AI campaign strategies, finalize and launch campaigns, pause and resume campaigns, query campaign analytics, read message threads and replies, manage LinkedIn campaigns, and add contacts to do-not-contact lists. The full Skyp campaign lifecycle is available.

Is this the same as an autonomous AI SDR?

No — and that distinction matters. Autonomous AI SDR tools (like 11x or Artisan) send on your behalf with no visibility into what goes out. With Skyp via MCP, you stay in the conversation. Claude asks for confirmation before finalizing a campaign, and you can review emails before they send. The AI does the work; you stay in control.
